When you visit the website
The website runs on Squarespace. Each time you open a page, Squarespace processes access data: your IP address, date and time, the page you opened, your browser and device and, if transmitted, the page you came from. This is needed to deliver the page and run it securely. Squarespace also measures loading times and produces aggregated visitor statistics for us, without analytics cookies. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.
The website's fonts are delivered by Adobe Fonts. For this, Adobe receives your IP address and technical details such as the name of the website. According to Adobe, no cookies are set for this and the IP address is not stored. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a consistent appearance.
Cookies
The website only sets technically necessary cookies, for example “crumb”, which protects forms against misuse (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Analytics and advertising cookies are switched off, which is why there is no cookie banner.
When you contact us
Through the contact form we receive your name, email address, subject and message. Squarespace processes these details for this purpose and forwards them to us by email. The form cannot be sent without the required fields.
If you write to us by email, WhatsApp or Instagram, or call us, we process your contact details and the content of your message.
In both cases we use the data to reply to you and to carry out a possible project. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns a job, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Links to Instagram and Spotify
The website has links to Instagram and Spotify. These services only receive data from you if you follow a link, and their privacy policies then apply.
Who receives the data
Squarespace (Squarespace Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Squarespace, Inc., USA): hosting, statistics and contact form as a processor. For the security of its services, Squarespace also processes IP addresses under its own responsibility.
Adobe (Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Adobe Inc., USA): fonts
STRATO, Germany: domain and email mailboxes
Spark (Readdle): email software we use to handle your emails
Anthropic (Claude, USA): AI assistant for our internal organisation
WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited), Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), Chatwoot and Beeper: if you write to us there
My team: assistant and project management, only as far as your enquiry requires
Transfers outside the EU
Data may reach the USA in the process. For Squarespace, Adobe and Meta, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework applies. For the other providers, their contractual data protection terms apply.
How long we keep data
Squarespace keeps access data as long as needed for operation and security. We keep enquiries as long as we need them to handle them and for a possible project. Business emails and records are kept as long as commercial and tax law require.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. An email to the address above is enough. You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for us that is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Postfach 20 04 44, 40102 Düsseldorf, Germany.
Right to object: Where we process data based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You do not have to actively provide any data to read the website. There is no automated decision-making.
